On the 10th of June,
2019, at RUDN, the National Coordination Committee of BRICS Network University
took place. In the event Alexander Tarasov, Vice-Rector on International
Relations, participated from the MPEI part.
The attendants of the meeting discussed and examined the
basic issues of BRICS Network University, including problems of realization of
mutual education programs with foreign universities’ partnership. They
mentioned the main one among these problems, that the systems of education of
BRICS differ drastically, and another one, lack of financing, that is also
important due to the distance between the BRICS countries.
The session was dedicated to
the organization of International meeting of Rectors of all the five BRICS
countries as well. This meeting is supposed to be carried out in 2020. The
issues of international universities’ cooperation were discussed, as well as
their collaboration with the state authorities were, and the fields of study
for specialists from Network were specified.
